Merry Christmas

When we first came to Bulgaria, Christmas came and went with little notice, no decoration, no trees and everyone was just waiting for New Year’s Day (their biggest holiday).  Now, there are decorations everywhere.  In the center of Burgas, they have Christmas music playing over speakers up and down the main street.  It seems a little strange walking down a street in Bulgaria and hear in English, “Hark the herald angels sing, Glory to the newborn King!”  You most likely can’t hear that in American cities anymore, now that we celebrate the “Holidays” and not Christmas.  We continue ministering to many people, Stan preached yesterday and is scheduled a number of times over the Christmas season.  We are planning on a return visit for an English camp in the village of Cherkovo again before the holidays.  This little church is made up of mostly Gypsy young people and it is a great joy to see how they are maturing in the Lord.

Most of all we want to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and thank you for your prayers and financial support.  We are here because of you, thank you.  As we celebrate the birth of the world’s true King here in Bulgaria, and you in America we recognize that in the midst of confusion, fear and chaos, Jesus reigns above it all.  His Kingdom is unshakable and is advancing in the earth.  God Bless, and once again, you and your family have a Merry Christmas.
